Kolkata airport to New Town

The short answer
There is no metro from the airport to New Town yet, so the trip is by road: a transfer arranged by our front desk, a prepaid taxi or an app cab. The airport is TBC from the hotel, and the drive takes TBC, depending on traffic.

Which airport is it?
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (code CCU) at Dum Dum, run by the Airports Authority of India. Domestic and international flights use the same integrated terminal.
What are my options?
Three, all by road. Choose by the hour you land and how much you carry.
| Option | How it works | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel transfer | Booked through the front desk before you fly; a driver meets you TBC | Late arrivals, elders, families with bags |
| Prepaid taxi | Pay at the prepaid counter in the arrivals hall, then take the taxi from the rank | A fixed fare without an app |
| App cab | Book Uber or Ola after landing and walk to the marked pickup zone outside arrivals | Travellers already using the apps |
Is there a metro to New Town?
Not yet. The airport's station, Jai Hind, is on the Yellow Line, which opened in August 2025 and runs to Noapara, away from New Town.
The Orange Line will run through New Town to the airport, but it is still being built. As of October 2026 its trains run only as far as Beleghata.
What if I land after midnight?
Message the front desk on WhatsApp with your flight number and we'll have the transfer waiting TBC. Peerage is open 24 hours, so there is hot food when you arrive, and in-room dining runs all night.
How early should I leave for my flight?
Allow TBC for the drive, more on weekday evenings. Ask the front desk to book your car the night before.
